Softball Recap: Powell Panthers vs. Carter Green Hornets

In what's become a running theme this season, Powell gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on the Carter Green Hornets with a sharp 12-1 victory. The win was familiar territory for Powell who now have three in a row.

Rianna Boone made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). Boone has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Boone was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
