Galena had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the East Dubuque Warriors. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Galena took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-15.

Kendra Bauer paced Galena's offense, picking up nine kills. Bauer got some help from Emma Ehrler and her 23 assists. Finally, Addison Stroyan kept Galena's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Galena's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for East Dubuque, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Galena has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Stockton on the 30th. As for East Dubuque, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Forreston at 7:00 p.m.
