Basketball Recap: Coastal Brigade's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Coastal Brigade waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 49-38 win over the Heritage Christian Academy Patriots. While Coastal Brigade didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Leading Coastal Brigade to victory were Cade Lewis and Beau Brake. Lewis posted 11 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Brake dropped a double-double with 18 points and 13 boards. Brake has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Kayden Myette, who earned nine points and six rebounds.

Coastal Brigade's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coincidentally, Coastal Brigade and Heritage Christian Academy will both be playing Mount Calvary Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Heritage Christian Academy will head out to face Mount Calvary Christian Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, while Coastal Brigade will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
