Basketball Game Preview: Interlachen Rams vs. Saint Francis Catholic Wolves

The Interlachen Rams will face off against the Saint Francis Catholic Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Interlachen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season.

Interlachen took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Bell 77-43. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Interlachen's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devon Williams led the charge by putting up 14 points in addition to seven assists and five boards. That's the most assists Williams has posted since back in November of 2024. Raszir Phelps was another key player, going 7 for 15 en route to 15 points and three steals.

Interlachen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Saint Francis Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 55-45 to Trinity Catholic.

Interlachen will need focus on slowing down Cyrus Fariborzian, one of several Saint Francis Catholic players who made an impact when they last played. He posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Liam Banks, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points and five rebounds.

Interlachen's win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Saint Francis Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 12-8.

Interlachen skirted past Saint Francis Catholic 59-57 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Saint Francis Catholic's William Collett, who went 8 for 17 en route to 20 points and seven boards.
