After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Old Forge, Western Wayne was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Lakeland Chiefs by a score of 49-38. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Chiefs back in January, they had to take a 72-41 loss.

When it comes to explaining why Lakeland lost, don't look at David Naniewicz. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Chase Rosenkrans, who scored 14 points.

Western Wayne's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 3-14. As for Lakeland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

When Western Wayne and Lakeland next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Western Wayne will try to stop Holy Cross' three-game winning streak when the meet at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Lakeland will challenge Riverside and their 13-game winning streak at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
