Football Recap: Lancaster Falls Despite Big Games from Brody Burke and Jahmeir Gordon + How To Watch

Lancaster had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it eight. They fell 30-21 to the Marysville Monarchs. The Golden Gales were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Monarchs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Lancaster's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jahmeir Gordon, who gained 160 total yards, and Brody Burke, who threw for 248 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

As for Marysville, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for they.

Marysville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Carper, who rushed for 103 yards and two TDs on only seven carries. Evan Beany helped out on the ground, rushing for 105 yards.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster will welcome Teays Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Golden Gales' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Marysville, they will square off against Hilliard Bradley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
