Softball Recap: Sandpoint Finds Home Field Redemption Against Moscow

There's no place like home for Sandpoint, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Moscow Bears 13-11. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 15-11 victory two weeks ago.

Sandpoint got a massive performance out of Teagan Newsom, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Skibitsky, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Sandpoint always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Sandpoint's record is now 7-19. As for Moscow, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-20.

Sandpoint didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-8 loss against Lakeland on the 8th. Moscow does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
