Unioto is 9-1 against Chillicothe since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Shermans will venture away from home to take on the Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. Unioto is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

Unioto barely beat Huntington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Shermans put the hurt on the Huntsmen with a sharp 8-2 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Shermans, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

KB Perkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Braydon White was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those RBI were his first of the season.

Wheelersburg hit Chillicothe with a four-run sixth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cavaliers came up short against the Pirates, falling 9-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cavaliers in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost five in a row.

Unioto pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Chillicothe, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
