Baseball Game Preview: Westside Wolves vs. Heights Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Westside will face off against Heights. The Wolves will welcome the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Westside is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs two weeks ago, they were much more limited against Heights on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 3-2.

For Heights' part, Matthew Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Soto, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Heights and bumps their season record up to 14-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
