Football Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a blow against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions, falling 53-0. The Grizzlies lost against the Mountain Lions in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 6-0 score last time.

Spring Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Sierra Vista, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Spring Valley and Sierra Vista's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Spring Valley will face off against Bonanza at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a team that's only allowed 8.88 points per game. Meanwhile, Sierra Vista and Foothill (who has only given up 14.4 points per game) will meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
