Baseball Game Preview: Everett Vikings vs. Jackson Vikings

Everett hasn't had much luck against Jackson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Everett will look to defend their home field against Jackson at 4:00 p.m. Everett has given up an average of 14.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Everett turned things around against Eastern last Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Quakers 12-11. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2017, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Fernando Solis, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emmett Leidi, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, Jackson came into Tuesday's match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Eastern by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday.
