Baseball Recap: Dexter's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak at Home

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Dexter was a bit more limited in their match on Monday. They came up short against the Skyline Eagles, falling 9-2. The Dreadnaughts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Dexter saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellen McConnell, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Dexter's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. As for Skyline, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Dexter by a score of 9-7 later that day.
