Adding to the longest winning streak in AAA Region 7 this week, Buford beat East Hall 70-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Wolves.
Fannin County's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Trevor Stone threw for 56 and 1 touchdown and Conner Jones had 31 yards receiving. On the ground Peyton Satterfield contributed 103 yards. Satterfield helped Fannin County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.
Satterfield was a passing and rushing force as the Rebels lost to Dawson County. Satterfield's key target this week was Jones, who caught 2 passes for 31 yards.
Jones was the best receiver in the league this week as Fannin County lost to the Tigers. Satterfield helped Fannin County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 14 yards.
Fannin County's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Stone has thrown for 1,327 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Noah O'Neal has 31 catches for 598 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Buford takes on second place North Hall. Last week, Buford topped the Vikings, while North Hall defeated Banks County.
Dawson County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,435 from 6,031. The advance stemmed from a 45-14 victory over Greg Chambers' team last week.
