Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Lions vs. Midland Christian Mustangs

Trinity Christian has won three straight games at home, while Midland Christian has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Trinity Christian Lions will host the Midland Christian Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Trinity Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matches.

Trinity Christian is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Coram Deo Academy: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Trinity Christian blew Coram Deo Academy out of the water with a 96-49 final score. Trinity Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trinity Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lucai Anderson, who went 6 of 11 from beyond the arc en route to 35 points and seven rebounds. Anderson's afternoon made it 12 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Mccasland, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 18 points along with six assists and five steals.

Trinity Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 26 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Midland Christian got the win against Fort Worth Christian on Saturday by a conclusive 66-46. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 513th, while the Cardinals are ranked 1213th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Midland Christian is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-15 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.9 points per game. As for Trinity Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 19-12.
