Basketball Game Preview: Dickinson Gators vs. Clear Springs Chargers

The Dickinson Gators will square off against the Clear Springs Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Dickinson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 contests -- so hopefully Clear Springs likes a good challenge.

Dickinson is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Brazoswood: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Dickinson blew Brazoswood out of the water with a 70-34 final score. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Clear Springs ended up a good deal behind Clear Falls on Saturday and lost 50-34. The Chargers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Dickinson's victory was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-8. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Clear Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-23.
