Basketball Recap: Churchland's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

Churchland was the 59-42 winner over Norcom when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Churchland Truckers fell to the Norcom Greyhounds 45-41. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Truckers came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Greyhounds are ranked 155th).

Churchland's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-6. As for Norcom, they moved to 7-11 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Churchland will square off against Booker T. Washington at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Norcom, they will welcome Norview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
