Volleyball Recap: Mt. Madonna Comes Up Short

After flying high against Scotts Valley two weeks ago, Mt. Madonna came back down to earth. The Hawks fell 2-0 to the Palma Chieftains on Saturday. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Chieftains when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mt. Madonna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Palma, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Mt. Madonna didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Ann Sobrato on the 12th. As for Palma, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Willow Glen on the 12th.
