It was fun while it lasted, but Liberty Baptist Academy's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Saturday. They fell just short of the Vasquez Mustangs by a score of 11-9. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Liberty Baptist Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah McConnell, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. McConnell has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times he's played. Dominic Giannini was another, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

McConnell wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Liberty Baptist Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Liberty Baptist Academy fell to 3-1. As for Vasquez, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

Liberty Baptist Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Vasquez, they will head out to square off against Golden Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Vasquez's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Golden Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
