Volleyball Recap: New London-Spicer Takes a Loss

New London-Spicer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Albany Huskies. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

New London-Spicer wouldn't go down easily and took Albany into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 18-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-11.

New London-Spicer's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Albany, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

New London-Spicer will welcome Dassel-Cokato at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albany, they will head out on the road to face off against Milaca at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
