Baseball Recap: Grace Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grace Prep had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as they made off with a 9-2 victory. Considering the Lions have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jarvis Buchanan was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Jones, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Grace Prep's win bumped their record up to 13-4-1.

Looking ahead, Grace Prep will head out on the road to challenge Hyde Park at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-7 tie against Valor South Austin on the 27th.
