Softball Recap: Hinsdale Central Takes a Loss

Hinsdale Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 21-9 to the Fillmore Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Hinsdale Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Fillmore, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Hinsdale Central will head out to face off against Alfred-Almond at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fillmore, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Genesee Valley at 7:00 p.m. The Jaguars' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
