Basketball Recap: Daniel Clark Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat South Oak Cliff

After losing to South Oak Cliff the last time they met, Nimitz decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Nimitz Cougars took down the South Oak Cliff Bears 74-58 on Friday.

Nimitz's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Clark led the charge by putting up 18 points. Those 18 points gave Clark a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jimiren Ratliff, who posted 17 points.

Nimitz is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-12 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for South Oak Cliff, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.
