Softball Recap: Medicine Lodge Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Medicine Lodge can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Indians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Medicine Lodge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Schreiner, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The defeat snapped Medicine Lodge's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-10 record. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-1.

Medicine Lodge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 1-0 loss against Oskaloosa on the 30th.
