Baseball Recap: Overland Takes a Loss

Overland came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Mountain Range Mustangs, falling 21-3. The loss continues a trend for the Trailblazers in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost three in a row.

Overland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Uriel Hernandez, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Brayan Ascensio also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Overland now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Mountain Range, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2.

Overland wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 13-3 defeat against Rangeview on the 20th. As for Mountain Range, they have also already played their next game, a 10-9 loss against Greeley West on the 20th.
