The Sullivan County Griffins will challenge the Troy Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sullivan County will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Having struggled with six losses in a row, Sullivan County turned things around against Bucktail on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Bucks with a sharp 20-5 victory. The Griffins' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sullivan County got a massive performance out of Tucker Blasi, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave Blasi a new career-high. Cole Barto was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Sullivan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Troy was able to grind out a solid win over Athens on Thursday, taking the game 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.
The team relied heavily on Lincoln Chimics, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Troy's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Woodward, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for Troy, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.
