Basketball Recap: Fort Bend Bush's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Fort Bend Bush's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Fort Bend Elkins Knights with a 56-51 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-31 back in December of 2024.

Fort Bend Bush's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danielle Okogwu led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and ten boards. What's more, Okogwu also racked up five steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jadesyn Hardeman, who posted 16 points and five rebounds.

Fort Bend Bush's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-19. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they dropped their record down to 12-18 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Fort Bend Bush wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 63-61 defeat against Fort Bend Travis on the 28th. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-59 victory against Fort Bend Dulles on the 28th.
