Baseball Recap: Oregon Takes a Loss

After flying high against Polo on Saturday, Oregon came back down to earth. The Hawks lost 18-3 to the Byron Tigers on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since March 31st.

Oregon's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-12. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 4.57 runs. As for Byron, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

While Oregon had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
