Football Game Preview: River Ridge vs. Gulf

River Ridge will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Gulf at 7:30 PM. River Ridge are cruising in on a three-game winning streak while Gulf are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses.

River Ridge won against Anclote three weeks ago with 35 points, and River Ridge decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. River Ridge steamrollered Fivay 35-0. The River Ridge offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the match anyway.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-55, which was the final score in Gulf's tilt against Zephyrhills. Gulf were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-39.

River Ridge's win lifted them to 3-2 while Gulf's loss dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, River Ridge relied heavily on junior Anthony Roussos, who rushed for 33 yards and 2 touchdowns. Gulf will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
