Basketball Recap: ConVal Comes Up Short

ConVal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Derryfield Cougars, falling 68-25. While losing is never fun, ConVal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Hampshire basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Derryfield is ranked 16th).

ConVal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Derryfield, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. ConVal will welcome Merrimack Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Derryfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stark at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Derryfield's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Stark has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
