Ball is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Friendswood just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Mustangs.

Meanwhile, Lamar had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bulldogs as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Ball's loss dropped their record down to 17-19. As for Lamar, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season.
