Football Recap: Falls Church Extends Winning Streak to Three

Falls Church gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They took down the Rock Ridge Phoenix 32-14. The win was nothing new for the Jaguars as they're now sitting on three straight.

Falls Church's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sean Gresham led the charge by rushing for 102 yards and one score. Those 102 rushing yards gave Gresham a new career-high. Elijah Lewis was another key player, rushing for 115 yards and one TD.

Falls Church's record now sits at 4-1. As for Rock Ridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Falls Church will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lewis at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Rock Ridge, they will head out to challenge Dominion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.25 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
