Basketball Game Preview: North Vermillion Falcons vs. Seeger Patriots

North Vermillion hasn't had much luck against Seeger recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The North Vermillion Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Seeger Patriots at 7:30 p.m. North Vermillion is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Last Friday, North Vermillion earned a 52-43 victory over Fountain Central. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Mustangs are ranked 415th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Seeger ended up a good deal behind Parke Heritage on Friday and lost 67-51. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

North Vermillion will need to focus on slowing down Jack Cole, one of several Seeger players who made an impact when they last played. He to rack up 12 points. Cole is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last four games he's played. Macyn Hughes was another key player, on his way to 14 points.

North Vermillion pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points over those games. As for Seeger, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

North Vermillion came up short against Seeger in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 53-41. Can North Vermillion avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
