Baseball Game Preview: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. Glasgow Scotties

The Nicholas County Bluejackets will face off against the Glasgow Scotties at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Nicholas County is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

On Sunday, Nicholas County came up short against Hart County and fell 7-2.

Nicholas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Robinson, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Glasgow was able to grind out a solid win over Union City on Sunday, taking the game 6-1. That looming 6-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Scotties yet this season.

Josiah Driver was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Braylen Caldwell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Glasgow's victory bumped their record up to 3-7-1. As for Nicholas County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Nicholas County might still be hurting after the 16-10 loss they got from Glasgow when the teams last played back in March of 2017. Can the Bluejackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
