Baseball Recap: Logan County Has No Trouble Against Allen County-Scottsville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bowling Green, Logan County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots as Logan County made off with a 13-2 win. That 11 run margin sets a new team best for the Cougars this season.

The team relied heavily on Tripp Wadlington, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and one double. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. EJ Walker was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Logan County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Logan County back to even at 3-3. As for Allen County-Scottsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logan County will take on Glasgow at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Allen County-Scottsville, they will face off against Edmonson County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edmonson County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something Allen County-Scottsville will no doubt try to take advantage of.
