Shorecrest has been away from home for three games now, but on Monday they'll finally make their return. They will host the Shorewood Stormrays at 7:00 p.m. Shorecrest will be strutting in after a win while Shorewood will be coming in after a loss.
Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Shorecrest finally turned things around against Meadowdale on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Mavericks out 3-2.
Shorecrest was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-16, 18-16.
Meanwhile, Shorewood came up short against Lincoln on Wednesday and fell 3-1. The Stormrays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Shorecrest's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Shorewood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
