Baseball Game Preview: Clark County Indians vs. Canton Tigers

The Clark County Indians are taking a road trip to take on the Canton Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Clark County will be strutting in after a win while Canton will be coming in after a defeat.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last six times Clark County and South Shelby have met, but the home crowd finally got their W last Thursday. The Indians blew past the Cardinals 12-2. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Canton's offense. They lost 7-0 to Moberly on Thursday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Tigers were not able to get on the board.

Canton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3. As for Clark County, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Clark County took their win against Canton when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 15-9 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
