Baseball Recap: Bowie Comes Up Short

While it was Bowie who put the first runs on the board on Monday, it was Annapolis who put up more. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-7. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Bowie and nudges their season record down to 3-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for Annapolis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Bowie didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against South River on the 31st. As for Annapolis, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Leonardtown on the 31st.
