Baseball Recap: Twin Rivers Triumphs

Twin Rivers won the last time they faced Doniphan and things went their way on Thursday too. The Royals came out on top against the Dons by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Bo Lilly and Bryce Dollins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Lilly pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Dollins tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. What's more, Lilly posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At bat, Lilly went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run, while Dollins went 2-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Hester, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Liam Galloway was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Twin Rivers' victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Doniphan, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-8.

Coming up, Twin Rivers will look to defend their home field on Friday against East Prairie at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Royals 2.8, the Eagles 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Doniphan has already played their next contest (against Cooter), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
