Basketball Recap: Des Lacs-Burlington Takes a Loss

Des Lacs-Burlington lost against Rugby back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers took a 51-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rugby Panthers. The Lakers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Des Lacs-Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Rugby, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Des Lacs-Burlington will take on Dunseith at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Des Lacs-Burlington is facing Dunseith at the right time seeing as Dunseith is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Rugby, they will challenge Turtle Mountain at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Turtle Mountain knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 games -- so hopefully Rugby likes a good challenge.
