Thomaston had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Housatonic Mountaineers as they made off with a 15-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 25-0 last Monday.

Madison Decker made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Kayla Valentine was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Brie Beaudoin, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

Thomaston's win bumped their record up to 11-7-1. As for Housatonic, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Coming up, Thomaston will square off against Lakeview at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Housatonic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
