Soccer Game Preview: Grandview vs. Selah

Grandview is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Saturday. They will host the Selah Vikings at 12:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Grandview is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Davis just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Thursday. They and the Pirates finished up their matchup with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Selah came up short against West Valley on Thursday and fell 3-1. That's two games in a row now that Selah have lost by exactly two goals.

Selah now has a losing record of 1-2-1. Grandview's draw makes their record 3-0-2 this season.

Grandview couldn't quite get it done against Selah in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 as they fell 3-1. Can the Greyhounds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
