Volleyball Recap: Sheridan Has No Trouble Against International

Sheridan waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the International Gryphons 3-0. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Blackhawks this season.

Sheridan never let International on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-6, 26-24.

Lainey Mendenhall paced Sheridan's offense, picking up ten kills. Mendenhall got some help from Adria Jump and her 24 assists. Jump also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Beth Adams, racking up three apiece.

Sheridan's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for International, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Sheridan and Traders Point Christian will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for International, they will welcome University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
