Softball Recap: Maine-Endwell Spartans vs. Vestal Golden Bears
Maine-Endwell made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Vestal, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans fell just short of the Golden Bears by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Spartans let down their fans at home.

Tessa L'Amoreaux spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Kaylee Hurba made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Katherine Beebe also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
