Basketball Game Preview: Piute Thunderbirds vs. Bryce Valley Mustangs

Piute and Bryce Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2020, but not for long. The Piute Thunderbirds will venture away from home to face off against the Bryce Valley Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Piute and five for Bryce Valley.

On Tuesday, Piute came up short against Wayne and fell 53-44.

Meanwhile, Bryce Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 59-55 to North Sevier.

Bryce Valley's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Piute, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Piute couldn't quite finish off Bryce Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 44-42. Can Piute avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
