Football Recap: Coronado Falls to Fountain-Fort Carson in First Game of Season

Coronado unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans on Thursday, falling 24-0. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it ten in a row.

Even if they lost, Coronado's defense still kept up the pressure with five sacks. Fountain-Fort Carson's QB won't forget Leilani Eilert anytime soon given she sacked her three times.

The victory got Fountain-Fort Carson back to even at 1-1.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 18-6 win against The Vanguard School on the 26th. Fountain-Fort Carson has also already played their next game (against Palmer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
