Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity Christian). They came out on top against the Legacy Academy Warriors by a score of 66-59 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for Trinity Christian: when they faced off against Legacy Academy back in December of 2024, they had to take a 46-44 defeat.

Among those leading the charge was Kyleigh Purtle, who posted 23 points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points. Jordan Dougan was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Despite the loss, Legacy Academy still got an impressive performance from Oaklee Lofton, who dropped a double-double on 44 points and 12 boards. That was a full 74.6% of Legacy Academy's points, marking the 20th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Alexander, who scored 13 points.

Trinity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for Legacy Academy, their loss ended a 16-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 20-4.

Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Legacy Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Legacy Academy is facing Victory Christian at the right time seeing as Victory Christian is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
