Baseball Game Preview: Centennial Huskies vs. King Wolves

For the second straight game, Centennial will face off against King. The Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

In Tuesday's Canine Competition, Centennial came out on top. They walked away with an 8-3 win over King on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won five in a row.

Charles Rogers made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Rogers wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Simpson, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 17-7. As for King, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.
