Volleyball Recap: Chrisman Comes Up Short at Home Against Marshall + How To Watch

Chrisman unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 2-0 to the Marshall Lions on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

While Chrisman had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-18.

Taylor Jones paced Chrisman's offense, picking up five kills. Jones got some help from Leah Phipps and her nine assists. Morgan Lehmkuhl controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chrisman will take on Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Teutopolis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
