Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand Saline). Everything went their way against the New Summerfield Hornets on Monday as the Grand Saline Indians made off with a 9-2 victory. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered a 2-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Grand Saline and bumps their season record up to 4-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those two games. As for New Summerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Grand Saline will venture away from home to square off against Lindale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Summerfield, they have already played their next match, a 2-2 victory against Corrigan-Camden on the 13th.
