Recap: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Sunnyside Blue Devils
The Rincon/University Rangers can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Sunnyside by a score of 56-46. The win was just what Rincon/University needed coming off of a 78-57 defeat in their prior match.
Sam O'Dowd continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Zaire Hays was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Rincon/University's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-13. As for Sunnyside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tucson High Magnet School the next time they take the court. Rincon/University will head out to face Tucson High Magnet School at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Sunnyside will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
